The XT INDUS series, available in two configurations—XT INDUS 500 (up to 500kWh) and XT INDUS 3000 (up to 3MWh)—features cutting-edge HVAC systems and dual fire suppression technologies to ensure safe and efficient operation.
HVAC System:
The door-mounted HVAC layout incorporates a topside cooling air damper, directing cooling air efficiently from the topside to the backside of racks for rapid module cooling. With a cooling capacity of 71.5kW and heating capacity of 4.8kW, the system ensures optimal thermal management for high-performance energy storage systems.
Fire Suppression System I: Water Injection System
Designed for LG Ensol's U.S. ESS projects, this system leverages a mineral wool-insulated module with calculated heat transfer of 204W, rapidly extinguishing fires by spraying water within the module to prevent flame spread.
Fire Suppression System II: Gas Extinguishing System (FM-200®)
Using HFC-227ea gas with a design density of 7% for Class C fires, this system provides rapid extinguishing in areas up to 19.5m² and volumes of 52m³, ensuring comprehensive fire safety with a 25kg extinguishing agent.
Both fire suppression systems activate seamlessly through sensor detection, control panel signaling, and automated valve operation, guaranteeing fast and effective fire mitigation. The XT INDUS series delivers unmatched safety, scalability, and performance for high-capacity energy storage solutions.
